01Who is responsible

The data controller is Emanuele Macera, a private individual in Italy who keeps this website as a personal portfolio, not as a business. You can write to me at info@emanuelemacera.com for anything about your data.

02What is processed and why

Technical data of your visit

Like every website, the server receives your IP address, the date and time, the page you asked for, the type of browser and device, and the page you came from. The hosting provider keeps these server logs. I use them to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors. I do not use them to identify or profile visitors.

Legal basis: my legitimate interest in running a secure site (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention: as long as the hosting provider's own log settings allow.

Cookies and similar technologies

The public pages (home, privacy policy and cookie policy) set no cookies. Technical cookies exist only on the sign-in page and in the admin area, which are meant for me. The full list, with durations, is in the cookie policy.

Audience statistics (Google Analytics 4)

If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, Google Analytics records which pages you view, your approximate location derived from your IP address (which is anonymised), your browser, device and language, and how you reached the site. I use it only to understand which parts of the site are useful.

Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Retention: event data is kept for 2 months, and data tied to cookies or other identifiers for 14 months, counted again from your last visit.

Typefaces

The typefaces of the site are hosted on this website. Your browser does not contact Google or any other third party to display them.

If you write to me

If you email me, I use your address and your message to reply and to keep the conversation, for as long as it is useful or required by law.

Legal basis: my legitimate interest in answering the person who wrote to me (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Site administration

The sign-in page is only for me, to manage the portfolio. No visitor account exists and no visitor data goes through it.

03Who receives the data

• Hostinger, which hosts the site and the mailbox of the address above, and acts as my data processor.
• Google, only if you accept analytics.

I do not sell personal data and I do not use it for advertising. I may disclose data if the law requires it.

04Transfers outside the EU

If you accept analytics, Google may process the data in the United States and in other countries. These transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, where needed, on standard contractual clauses.

05Your rights

You can ask me to give you access to your data, correct it, erase it, restrict its use or send it to you in a portable format. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest and, where processing relies on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting what happened before.

To use any of these rights, write to info@emanuelemacera.com. If you think your data is handled unlawfully, you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or to the authority of your own country.
